How to find your local IP on iPhone and iPad

The local IP is inside your Wi-Fi network details. Look for the IPv4 Address.

Steps (iPhone and iPad)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Next to your connected network, tap the (i) info button.
  4. Scroll to IPv4 Address. That number is your local IP.

You may see both IPv4 and IPv6. If an app asks for “IPv4”, use the IPv4 Address.

What your local IP usually looks like

On home Wi-Fi it often looks like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x.

Local IP vs public IP
