If the router page does not open
- Make sure you are connected to the router by Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Do not rely on a guessed address.
- Enter the router IP directly in the browser address bar.
- Try http:// before the IP if the browser rewrites it.
- Try another browser or device on the same network.
Check the correct gateway
The router may not use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Check the default gateway of the connected device. That is normally the correct local router address.

Check how the address is entered
A private router IP is not a public website or search query. Type it into the browser address bar. If Google search results appear instead of the router page, the address was probably searched rather than opened directly.
If the login page opens but the password fails
That is a different problem: the router is reachable, but the credentials are not accepted. Check whether the page expects the administrator password rather than the Wi-Fi password. See router username and password or forgot router password.
If the local connection is the problem
If the device is not actually connected to the router, or the local network is unstable, the admin page may be unreachable. Check Wi-Fi/Ethernet first. If the connection itself is failing, use the connection diagnostic.
Reset last. A factory reset can erase useful configuration and is rarely the first troubleshooting step.
